Dr. James Boone

Dr. Boone is co-owner of Adams Morgan Animal Clinic. He was born and raised on a farm in North Carolina. After paying his way through professional school, Dr. Boone graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. Dr. Boone then settled in Maryland with his wife Barbara. He went on to do and internship in the United States Army for three years. After several years of practice Dr. Boone developed a special interest in dentistry. He took several courses on performing root canals, fillings and specialized oral surgery. Today he splits his time between his three practices (the third one being Dominion Animal Clinic in Herndon, Virginia). Dr. Boone served 20 years in the United States Army Reserves. He is very active in his church, Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Rockville, where he serves as chairman of the deacon board. In his free time he enjoys golfing, cooking, landscaping, and traveling with his wife. He has a miniature dachshund named Yasmine.

Dr. Jerrold Boone

Dr. Boone was born in Opelika, Alabama, while his father attended veterinary school at the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following in his father's footsteps, Dr. Boone, who is co-owner, graduated with a D.V.M. from the same institution in 2001. He received a B.A. degree from Morehouse College in Alanta, GA. His special interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. He attended a post-doctoral Extensive Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery Course at The Virginia-Maryland College of Regional Veterinary Medicine on the campus of VA Tech University. Not surprisingly, Dr. Boone's father has always been a great inspiration to him. "He has been a practicing veterinarian for almost thirty years, and has instilled in me a love and compassion for animals." In his free time, Dr. Boone enjoys golf, sports, motorcycling and "anything that involves the outdoors." He has an English Bulldog named Beast.
